DigiPak Attempt 2 With Audience Feedback

When creating a product such as a Digipak, it is vital to do mock ups in order to understand the audiences views on it and to see if it will interest the intended audience. My original idea, just like the video was to have a big focus on the lips. This therefore has a constant theme running through the video and Digipak. Having a black and white picture, and having the lips and lollipop in colour makes it stand out more drawing the attention of the audiences eye. As the hand was holding the lollipop I had the initial idea of putting the text of the artist name and song on the fingers as it made it more unique and interesting. However gaining feedback from my audience, they said they liked the picture and how its focus was on the lip are linking it to the title of the song, therefore helping them distinguish the song title easier. However, many did say they did not like the format of the text as it wouldn't be as clear from far away who the artist is and what the song is. This is especially as the artists face is not actually present on the cover and it is just her mouth. Therefore on my second
mock up i decided to stick to the same picture as that is what the audience liked, yet change the text as it was not clear. I chose a bold white as it stood out against the body of the artist. I also made both the artists name and the song in capital letters as this makes it easier to read. Furthermore the font of the artists name and song title not being in serif makes the
Digipak not have such a formality about it. The colour of the song title being the same colour as the lips and lollipop gives the album cover a more polished look as it is going a long with the colour style throughout the Digipak.

The inside of the DigiPak I had the idea to have one image bleed across the whole of the inside, including the inside, rather than have two separate images and a different one for the disc as well. I though this idea is unique as usually the disc is just a plain colour or pattern and completely different to the images behind it on the DigiPak. The image i chose were lips. The reason i chose to have lips as the image as it is again running with the theme of my production of lips.I will take pictures of the lips that I shot for my music video and decide which one I think best fits the inside of the cover, based on audience feedback. Currently I have decided on red as it is similar to the colour that pops out on the front of the cover.
From the audiences feedback on the inside of the DigiPak, they agreed similarly that the inside was unique and different as usually the disc is plain. However I had some feedback saying that just the plain lips was a bit boring and had no correlation to the front cover. Therefore I will have to rethink about what the inside of the DigiPak will be like as it may not be as exciting or interesting as I originally thought.

After more audience feedback, I changed the inside of the DigiPak to make it more exciting to audiences. Many more of my audience said that it improved the whole DigiPak as it made it more colourful and exciting rather than a block colour. This picture was a screen shot of the video I have taken so therefore it is linking this and the video together well.
