What is a Website
The use of a website for an artist is mainly promotion and a platform for fans to connect with the artist. The website gives fans easy access to things such as their social media, newly released music and promotional purposes such as tour dates or access to the artists merchandise. Many artists use their website for marketing purposes to promote their brand and image further. The marketing aspect of the website then goes on to help the sale of the artists music and tickets for tours.

DigiPak Attempt 2 With Audience Feedback
When creating a product such as a Digipak, it is vital to do mock ups in order to understand the audiences views on it and to see if it will interest the intended audience. My original idea, just like the video was to have a big focus on the lips. This therefore has a constant theme running through the video and Digipak. Having a black and white picture, and having the lips and lollipop in colour makes it stand out more drawing the attention of the audiences eye. As the hand was holding the lollipop I had the initial idea of putting the text of the artist name and song on the fingers as it made it more unique and interesting. However gaining feedback from my audience, they said they liked the picture and how its focus was on the lip are linking it to the title of the song, therefore helping them distinguish the song title easier. However, many did say they did not like the format of the text as it wouldn't be as clear from far away who the artist is and what the song is. This is especially as the artists face is not actually present on the cover and it is just her mouth. Therefore on my second

Digipak not have such a formality about it. The colour of the song title being the same colour as the lips and lollipop gives the album cover a more polished look as it is going a long with the colour style throughout the Digipak.

After more audience feedback, I changed the inside of the DigiPak to make it more exciting to audiences. Many more of my audience said that it improved the whole DigiPak as it made it more colourful and exciting rather than a block colour. This picture was a screen shot of the video I have taken so therefore it is linking this and the video together well.

DigiPak Attempt 1 With Audience Feedback
For my DigiPak I wanted to run with the ideas of lips again as this is the main theme in my video. For my first mock up, I has the idea of just purely lips on the front cover to make it bright and eye catching. For the name of the artist and song I put it in white to make it more idyllic to audiences as it contrast to the harsh colour of the red lips. As the white writing I was not clear enough, I has to put a background on the writing so it was clearer. However, the block colour behind the writing did not look right so I then made it more transparent so the lips were still visible behind it
I then created the inside of my DigiPak. Again I wanted the running theme of lips throughout and wanted to make it unique so decided on one continuous picture on the back. As this is a mock up I was not very bothered about the quality of the picture of the lips, but I know when taking these shots I will need to make sure they are highly defined and not pixilated at all.
Audience Feedback
Audience feedback has given me the opportunity to tweak and change things that are not right and that my target audience will like. As it is only my first attempt I did not feel the need to get huge amounts of feedback
